When I first told my husband that we are going to Milan Fashion Week A/W 2018, I have received a slightly nervous yes. As the time approached and flights and hotel was booked, nervousness kicked in. What to wear? For the Milanese the street is the catwalk. The Malpensa airport during the fashion week fills…
Sand in my shoes
There is nothing that can top a day at the beach. Maybe a day at the beach with a well stocked ice cream van nearby! One stracciatella please! Formby beach is definitely my favourite beach in the UK. It’s got the soft sand dunes, the forest paths, the sweet dogs of all shapes and sizes…
Going home
Going home feels like going to a safe harbour, wrapping yourself with a comfort blanket, the world around suddenly seems slightly less strange. It is place for no make up and all day pyjamas, grandma’s apple pie and a hot tea with lemon. And it always feels awfully short and in a blink of an…
When you fall in love
It felt exciting. It felt sad to be leaving. I still remember smell I freshly prepared seafood, warm summer breeze running through my hair and a hot sun rays smiling at me. I walked, got lost, found beautiful hidden corners, played pétanque and sipped on a cool lemonade. I watched boats coming to the harbour….
Land of ice and cold
I hate cold weather. So I decided that a good place to start writing my article about Iceland would be a creperie in the harbour of Saint Tropez. So here I ordered a scoop of my favourite stracciatella ice cream to cool of on hot summer afternoon and started to put the memories and impressions…
There is always first time…
First time to visit Devon. And so I did. And I survived the five hour drive and there I finally was on Friday evening. The next day I put on my most comfy retro shoes (they look old and knackered but they are just made look old) and a comfy shirt and headed to Clovelly,…
Touchdown in Prague
Where do you go when you want to escape? I get a ticket, pack my carry-on luggage and fly to my absolute favourite spot on the planet, Prague. It is my comfort blanket. This time the city really has made an effort with the welcome. Who cares about a March chill when the sky is coved in rays of sunshine. We headed to town for cocktails and for some shopping, walks in the old town and we ate a mountain of blackforest gatto. Who says it is out of fashion?
Taxi to the airport please!
The other day when I came home after yet another 12 hour work day and found only empty fridge with a sad looking half eaten pizza and a massive pile of dirty laundry I decided that it is about time I have a few days off. I booked some flights and I am going to Prague!
And I am NOT going to be good. My plan involves eating lot of cake, wearing red Converse sneakers and ripped jeans, taking way too many daft Instagram pictures and feeding my shopping obsession.
And there is another bonus, I can be annoying and wish everyone happy weekend already on Tuesday. I am packed and the taxi to the airport is going to be here in a few minutes…
Weekend with a Pug
I don’t know how I got myself into it but I have ended up with a pug for the weekend. Pugs should come with manuals and set of earplugs. Manuals on how to explain to him that sofa is really not a lamppost, that lost sandwiches found on the side of the road are not an afternoon snack, postmen are actually quite nice people and Saturday paper is supposed to stay in one piece. And maaan, they snore like an old sailor!…
Total Nerd Sometimes
I feel like a total nerd sometimes… I can discuss search engine optimization for hours but sit awkwardly quiet at the hairdressers. I am super punctual (one minute delay freaks me out) but arrived one hour late on the first date with my husband. I am awkward in front of the camera. My face is too narrow. My eyes are too wide apart. Ha, ha, maybe not so bad, but you get my point… I put on my favorite sweatshirt and jeans (that have a hole in the knee bigger every time I put them on) and do a few quick poses by the garage. These are just before I burst into laughter. Then I jumped in the car next to my hubby and headed to town.
Weekend Vibes
Weekend to me is a smell of a fresh coffee (the larger and fluffier, the better) / a loose black sweatshirt / long-board / messy hair because who cares / bare feet / mussels and fries (the vine sauce is the best) / sunglasses because have not bothered with make-up this morning / full tank and car ready to go / sunrise / highway / beach and cozy blanket / family / ice cream van / boats/ a lot of boats…
My Love and Hate Relationship with High Heels
My relationship with high heels has been a roller-coaster over the years. It all started when i was 16 and was landed my very first job as a hostess for ice hockey championship. till then a tomboy I got myself my first pair of proper high heels. Very 90′ with super long pointed front. I was all made up and me and my heels were inseparable over next few weeks. I did not care that I looked like a funny duckling bouncing from side to side as I could not properly walk in them. They empowered me and gave me confidence I needed…
