Denmark Gave Me a Warm Hug

Denmark felt cozy and familiar. The cool breeze. The modernity and the colourful Nyhavn, even the storm just before we left for the airport that felt like Denmark was telling us not to leave. The best moments in life usually have something to do with food. For me it was the moment I have bitten into the crunchy rye open top sandwich that everyone seems to have for lunch. So simple and so amazing, I miss it every day now. I have enjoyed a rare moment of not being the tallest girl on the street and the feeling of actually blending in. I weirdly never felt as much at home in a foreign country as in Denmark .
